They kids were frothing with excitment last weekend in Tamarindo! Not only did they have the opportunity to surf a free contest, but some of the most well-known surf stars in Costa Rica were there promoting the cause. No stress, good vibes, fun waves, and Costa Rican surf hero (Carlos Mu\u00f1<\/span>oz) was there supporting it all. And as a proud event sponsor, Witch\u2019s Rock Surf Camp<\/i> was there to provide meals, electricity, and other necessary nuts \/ bots for a successful event.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The free contest was put on by Surf for Youth (S4Y<\/b>), \u00a0a local organization founded by Costa Rican national surf champ, and mother of 3, Andrea Diaz. S4Y<\/strong> was created to introduce surfing as a healthy, self-motivating, lifestyle to the youth in the Tamarindo Area. Through its weekly surf-training programs and traveling competition team, S4Y<\/strong> encourages kids to maintain a disciplined lifestyle in order to reap the benefits of the program.<\/p>\n
