As you enter Witch’s Rock Surf Camp and Eat at Joe\u2019s, and as you walk out towards the beach, have you ever noticed the mysterious staircase and 2nd-floor private deck on your right-hand side? That\u2019s actually a full ocean view apartment where the owner of Witch\u2019s Rock, Joe Walsh, lived with his family for 15 years while simultaneously running the camp. When Joe’s third child was born in 2015, his family moved into a house just down the street, and Joe’s Tiki Hut apartment became the crown jewel of the surf camp\u2019s beachfront accommodations.<\/p>

Of the 20 hotel rooms on the beach at Witch\u2019s Rock Surf Camp, Joe’s Tiki Hut is our premium spot for large groups and families. With over 1000 sq. ft. of air-conditioned living space, a wonderful kitchen, and a covered terrace with spectacular ocean views, this 3-bedroom unit can accommodate 6-8 guests comfortably.<\/p>

Over the past 2 months, the surf camp\u2019s design team has worked very hard to remodel Joe\u2019s Tiki Hut with updated flooring, furniture, beds, bathrooms, pendant lighting, new doors, windows, and native hardwoods that bring the textures of the jungle into this modern living space. The outdoor wrap-around terrace is more comfortable and private than ever. We’ve included a large outdoor dining table, privacy walls, and lounge area that offers the best golden-hour sunset views in Tamarindo.
